Coach Bill Bowerman and University of Oregon student track athlete Phil Knight founded Nike on January 25, 1964, in Eugene Oregon. Originally called Blue Ribbon Sports they distributed for Onitsuka Tiger a Japanese shoemaker. Today Nike is a multinational corporation with offices in roughly 45 countries. They design develop manufacture market and sell worldwide online and in brick-and-mortar stores. Their specialties are services accessories equipment and apparel.
